Our plan was to be on the road, on the way to the beach at about 6. Well that really did not happen, which was no big deal. Mom had a meeting in Morristown that lasted longer than expected. We ended up arriving at Barbara's about 7. After we got the vehicle totally packed, and all of us loaded into it, when Barbara started it the battery was DEAD. We had left the doors open a really long time while they were taking the seat out before we came over, and when we were packing all of our stuff. Of course it started to rain about the time that Mac was jumping off the car. We finally got on the road at 8:30. By 8:50, Tyler was already saying "home" and "hold you". We really thought this was going to be a long trip. In rained for about 2 hours, making us go about 55 miles per hour, because it was so hard. At 10:00, Tyler started saying "home" again. Finally at 11:15, he fell asleep. Barbara, Mom, Elisa, and I had so much fun telling stories from are traveling days together. At 1:00 we had to stop for gas, Tyler was awake. Yes, he slept for 1 hour and 45 minutes, which is not what I expected him to do. Tyler was still awake when we made our last bathroom stop. At 3:45, when we turned on the 2 lane road that took us on our last 2 hours of the trip, we drove about a mile, when we go graciously got pulled over. Great! As the officer came to our window, he was shining a flashlight into the back of the car. Elisa and I thought for sure he thought we had drugs or something. I bet he was disappointed when he saw us in the middle, Tyler in the back, and Baby Einstein playing on the DVD player. Tyler then is saying "scary" a hundred times while we are waiting. We finally got back on the road and at 4:15, Tyler finally went back to sleep. We arrived at the condo at 6:00, which meant it ended up taking 9 1/2 hours. Not too bad considering the circumstances. Here are some funny pictures from the trip.
Packed vehicle. Yes, it is packed to the top.
Even Eisa and my foot room was full.
Stuff packed all around Tyler.
Tyler, as we arrived at the condo.
