MTSU Homecoming 2008

This past weekend was MTSU's Homecoming.  The Band of Blue Alumni had activities to participate in all day. It was an absolute blast.  It was so fun to get together with everyone.  I will have to say, I think I am getting too old for it though. I am just now able to walk without pain and I thought I threw my hip out of socket. I guess I can say I am really out of shape. Oh well, the pain and soreness was worth it, because we had so much fun. Tyler seemed to enjoy the parade and the football game, but his favorite thing was to run around free on the football field.  Here are the pictures from the weekend.  Enjoy.

On Friday, we went to the Band of Blue's practice to see what exactly we were going to be doing on Saturday. Tyler, Connor, my friend, Mindy's little boy, and Jackson, Jaime's little boy, really enjoyed playing with the footballs and tackle dummies. Thanks to Kristie for chasing around Tyler during the whole practice.

We met up at the MTSU Alumni House for breakfast and then went to meet the band at the parade route for the parade. Mindy's mom, Karen, Connor, Mom, Kristie, and Tyler walked in the parade with the Baby Raiders. Everyone decorates wagons, strollers, and bikes and walk or ride in the last leg of the parade. We had fun decorating Tyler's wagon the night before.

This year the Alumni band got to perform before the game as the football team runs through the band and also at half-time. It was just like old times having a day full of game day activities.
