One of my last posts was called Tyler the Acrobat, this is Pt. 2. On Monday while he was down for his nap, Tyler decided to climb out of his crib. I went upstairs to see what was going on because I heard a loud thump. If Tyler had not started crying I probably would have thought he had just thrown a toy out of his bed. Oh no, he was flat on the floor. Thank goodness he was not hurt. Monday night we started trying to figure out what to do. He seems way to young to turn his bed into a toddler bed, but I don't want him climbing out every time I put him down. So we decided converting it was the only option. Since with the toddler bed Tyler can get out of his bed as he pleases, we will have to anchor the chest and dresser to the wall and finish putting the drawer locks on. I am sure it would not have taken him long to figure out how to climb the drawers up to the top of the chest. Today before we converted his crib, my dad and I put him in the crib while we were working on the other things in the room we left to fix. We actually watched him climb to the top of the rail and then before he fell I put him back in the bed. My dad had his phone upstairs and I had the camera ready for the next time he decided to climb out and we snapped the picture. It was so funny. Now Tyler's room has changed into a big boy room with a big boy bed at 17 months.

Oh Lordy. I hope Katie doesn't do that! She hasn't ever offered to climb out, so let's cross our fingers we can keep it that way. Ben never climbed out and I didn't put him in a twin bed until I was pregant with Katie. He was almost three. I never converted his to a toddler bed, so Katie's using the same crib he slept in.
