8 Weeks

Scott has been on vacation all this week. We have gotten so much stuff done at the house. All of which was long overdue. Last Friday, we drove to Middle TN to stay at Pat and Tom's house with Kelly, Tommy, Thomas, and William. Pat and Tom were actually overseas but Kelly, Tommy, and the boys were spending the day and night at their house so the boys could go swimming. We decided to join them Friday. We had so much fun in their new pool, we just wished they were there with us. We played outside with the boys Friday night. They are all so cute playing together and chasing each other around the house and yard. On Saturday, we woke up and went back out by the pool. We were all going to Hadleigh's 8th birthday swim party later that day, but thought we would go ahead and let the boys play out for a while before we left. Hadleigh's birthday was lots of fun and it was great to see everyone. Scott, Tyler, and I went to Murfreesboro after Hadleigh's party to stay at Tommy and Kelly's house. Again the boys played outside for a long time there and had so much fun. Sunday was Scott's friend, Brian's little boy, Jacob's, 2nd Birthday. I was so glad we were able to squeeze all this in one trip. The party was at a really nice park in Murfreesboro and they had a bounce house with a slide that all the kids could play on. Tyler wanted no part of bouncing so we did a lot of chasing him around. It was great to see all Scott's friends and their kids. All of them are so close in age and really cute playing together. We headed home a little early because Scott wanted to start getting stuff done to the house. Scott and our neighbor, Jim, stained his fence, our fence, and Tyler's clubhouse. It all looks so nice. Scott and I managed to get the garage a little cleaned out and we trimmed the hedges in our front flower beds. We still have a lot to do to the flower beds, but we will get to them. Scott is tearing down our deck today and tomorrow they are starting to build us a new one. I am super excited about the new deck. Scott goes back to work on Monday (Tyler and I are not going to know what to do with him not here), but he is helping the guy that is building are deck get the post set on Sunday. I was impressed that we managed to get all that we did, finished. Scott actually wore me out this vacation, usually it's me wearing him out telling him stuff to do. I will try and post pictures when I get them off my camera.
