I am back, hopefully I can stay back!
I have not been a very good blogger. My last post was in August. I have so much to catch up on, but for now I am just going to try to stay current! This week is a big week, because Callie is turning ONE!!! I can't believe it is already her birthday. She is a MESS, not walking yet, but she gets around just fine. She stands by herself and claps and laughs. We were snowed in my parents house Sunday until Tuesday and finally got home yesterday. When we woke up this morning there was snow on the ground again. Can it please be spring. I am ready to play outside with the kids. I will try to post some past pictures soon.

Beach 2010--Deep Sea Fishing/Shopping Day--8/4/10
This morning, Scott and Will had to be in Destin at 5:45 for their second annual, deep sea fishing trip. While they were out, we did not do a lot. There was a storm before we woke up and it was a little cloudy. The water was so calm. I got a quick picture of a dolphin, but couldn't get more than it's fin to show. They are so beautiful to watch. We met Will and Scott when they came back so Tyler could see their fish and to take pictures. They had a lot of fun, and Scott managed to not get sick. Now, we have fish to take back to Knoxville to throw on the grill. Randi, Mom, Callie, and I had lunch at the Donut Hole. It was fabulous. Then we headed to Silver Sands Outlet. I had already planned on finding the kids some Fall clothes. Of course, I had no trouble finding too much stuff. We got back and headed out to dinner at Dewey Destin Seafood. WOW, it was so good, and it was indoors. :) Tomorrow is Scott's birthday!!! I am so excited to give him his gift. We are going to Atlanta for a weekend to watch the Marlins play the Braves. One of their good players, Daniel Uggla, grew up with Scott and he is a huge Marlins fan for that reason. We are going to try to go to one game with just the two of us and take Tyler to run the bases at the Saturday game. I am also planning on us going to the Atlanta Aquarium. It is going to be a fun weekend and I can't wait to surprise Scott with it tomorrow!!!

Beach 2010--Pool Day--8/2/10
After heading back to the grocery store, we decided to head down to the pool. Since Tyler had broke out yesterday, we thought we would take it easy at go to the pool instead of the ocean. It was a fun day just relaxing by the pool. I didn't have my camera the whole time we were down there so I did not get many pictures. We went to The Back Porch for dinner, which is one of my favorites. Too bad it was 2 million degrees in there with NO BREEZE. The kids were a little fussy, which made it 2 million degrees warmer. Callie finally fell asleep and it wasn't so bad. Randi wanted to try oysters so they ordered half dozen. It was great to watch. Randi was pretty grossed out and couldn't ever swallow it. Hey, I give it to her, at least she tried. The pictures are really funny. After dinner, we took Tyler to "The Track". I thought he would ride the bumper boats and go karts with Scott. It was late, loud, and so hot. He was in a grouchy mood and ended up wanting to ride the little airplanes and train instead. We had a fun day. Scott and Will are going deep sea fishing tomorrow so there should be some fun pictures.

Beach 2010--3rd Day at the Beach--8/2/10
We had a nice breakfast this morning and then went out to the beach. Tyler was really fussy for some reason this morning. While we were out in the ocean, he must have gotten stung by something or had some kind of reaction. He was screaming as we were getting out of the water and had a small rash on his belly. We took him to the pool and got him some Benedryl. The rash went away and he started acting fine. After playing at the pool for a while, we brought Tyler in for a nap. Scott and I took Callie with us and we went to Fudpucker's for lunch and ran to the outlet mall to see if we could find Scott a new Nike watch. When we got back, Randi and Will took Tyler to the pool and we met them down there. Callie is so funny in the pool. She loves to stick her face in the water. Since tonight was the final episode of the Bachelorette, we stayed in tonight and ordered pizza from Helen Back.

Beach 2010--2nd Day at the Beach--8/1/10
This morning, we woke up and headed down to the ocean with both Tyler and Callie. They both were so good. Callie loved floating in her crab float and loved the sand. She took a nice little nap under the tent. We played in the little pool and Callie really loved it. Tyler was such a big boy and played on the slide. We came up to the condo for lunch and decided to take Tyler to Harborwalk Village. We decided to put Tyler's car seat in the convertible and take him for a spin. He loved the top being down but wanted us to close it about half way to Destin. He told us that he wanted to drive it to Knoxville. He is so funny and gets so excited about it. Tyler remembered the ice cream shop from last year, and insisted that we get an ice cream cone. He was such a good boy, but was so ready for a nap when we got back. We went to dinner at one of my favorite places, Louiana Lagnaippe. Callie was asleep when we got there and slept through about half of dinner. Tyler fed the fish at the restaurant and had so much fun. After dinner, we promised Tyler to go to the ocean and look for crabs. Thank goodness, Scott was able to catch one at the beginning, because Tyler was so tired. Scott actually caught a little fish too. It has been a great vacation so far and we are enjoying every minute of it.

Beach 2010-1st Day at the Beach--7/31/10
This morning, since Tyler went to bed at 7:00, he woke up bright eyed at 6:10 am. We took a trip to the Destin Krispy Kreme, this is a beach tradition for us. Tyler loves watching the donuts being made and getting a Krispy Kreme hat. We had breakfast and headed to the grocery store to get stocked up for the week. After feeding Callie breakfast, we headed out to the water to set up camp. Mom kept Callie in the condo for the morning because she wouldn't have lasted all day. Tyler was scared at first, but loved the ocean. We played in the pools for a while before we headed in for lunch. Tyler went down for a nap and Scott and I took Callie out for the first time. She loved watching the waves and tried to eat the sand. She also loved playing in the pools. It has been such a fun day. I am excited to see where we go to dinner.
Beach 2010--Travel Day 2--7/30/10
We took our time getting up this morning. We had breakfast downstairs at the hotel and finally got on the road about 10 am. The kids were fabulous in the car and we did not even hear a peep out of Callie until we were almost to Ft. Walton. We were glad to finally arrive. One of my favorite baby stores, Hugs and Hissyfits, was having a big sale and they closed at 5:00, so Mom and I had to run by there to see if there was anything exciting. There was also a cute kids shoe store that we have always shopped at, that was going out of business, so we ran in there too. We took it easy because everyone was tired from traveling. Callie played in the floor for a while in the living room. Tyler had not had a nap and finally fell asleep at 7:00. He ended up sleeping through the night. Mom had a headache and stayed at home while we grabbed a quick bite at Anglers. Scott ended up staying with the kids since Tyler was asleep and Callie was exhausted. We are so glad to be at the beach and can't wait to get the kids in the ocean.
